How Does the Setup Process Work?  Setting up an event with Youie is simple! Once you create an event in the app, you’ll receive a QR code, a link, and an event code—each one providing easy access to your event’s gallery. If participants don’t have Youie yet, the QR code or link will guide them through the app download process effortlessly.

Is It Really Free?  Yes, Youie is 100% free—no strings attached.

Are there contracts or commitments? No, not at all. We built Youie to enable you to use it as much as you want. Theres no contracts, no minimums and no cost.

Can We Download the Photos for Free?  Absolutely! As an event organizer, you have access to download any photo from your event without any cost.

Can We Use the Photos for Marketing?  Yes! Our licensing agreement allows for social media and print use—share those amazing memories with your audience.

How Does Youie Make Money If It’s Free?  We keep Youie free by incorporating ads with Google AdMob, and we also enable peer-to-peer transactions for users who wish to buy special photos, with Youie taking a small commission.

What Is a Peer-to-Peer Transaction?  When someone loves a picture uploaded by another participant, they can purchase it for just a quarter. The photographer gets 70% of that amount. Rest assured, our commitment to privacy means no one knows who uploaded or bought each photo.

Is the Service Scalable for Larger Events? Absolutely. Youie is designed to be scalable and can handle events of all sizes, whether small gatherings or large-scale marathons. The platform is built to ensure stability even with high numbers of participants uploading and viewing pictures simultaneously.

What Happens If We Have Multiple Events on the Same Day? Youie allows you to create separate events within the app, each with its own unique QR code and link, ensuring each event’s photos are organized independently.

Is Youie Available for Both Android and iPhone?  Absolutely! Whether you're using Android or iPhone, Youie offers the same seamless experience. Everyone can see and download all shared event photos, no matter their device.

How Does the Gallery Work?  When a user uploads a photo, we automatically group it into your event based on GPS location, time, and date—no manual adjustments needed. This means every participant’s photos effortlessly become part of the event's collective story.

Is There a Limit to the Number of Photos Uploaded?  No limits here—the more, the better! We encourage you to capture as many moments as possible.

Can We Customize the Gallery?  Currently, we don’t offer customization, but we’re eager to hear your ideas! Tell us what you'd like, and we may add it in the future.

How Does Youie Handle Copyright Issues? Copyright remains with the user who took the photo. However, our licensing agreement allows event organizers to use images shared in their event for promotional purposes, including social media, communications and printed materials, without attribution.

How Secure Is My Event’s Photo Data? Youie takes privacy and security seriously. We collect as minimal personal information as possible, and photos are shared anonymously. Additionally, our servers use encryption to protect user data from unauthorized access.

Do You Offer Analytics? We’re working on incorporating basic analytics to provide insights, such as the number of uploads, views, and engagement during the event. This feature will give you better visibility into participant activity.

What Happens If We Need Technical Support During the Event? We have comprehensive FAQs, how-to guides, and video instructions available for participants to access at any time.

Can We Integrate Youie with Other Event Technologies? Youie is still in its growth phase, and we currently don’t offer integrations with other platforms. However, we're actively exploring integrations as we evolve. Let us know your specific needs!

Can Users Upload Videos, or Is It Photo-Only? Right now, Youie focuses on photos to ensure a smooth, lightweight experience for users. Video functionality is on our roadmap, and we’re excited to expand into that area in the future.

Is There a Limit to the Size or Type of Photo Files Uploaded? Youie accepts all standard photo file formats native to the camera on Apple and Anroid devices. We’ve built our app to handle most file sizes efficiently. No need to worry about resizing or formatting—the upload process is straightforward and user-friendly.

How Do You Moderate Photos?  To keep the gallery safe, we use Google Vision to automatically scan and filter out any inappropriate images or sensitive content before they’re made public.

How Long Are the Photos Available?  Photos are available indefinitely, so your memories are always there when you need them!

Is Internet Connection Required for Real-Time Uploads? Yes, Youie requires an internet connection to upload photos in real-time. However, if participants are in areas without reliable connectivity, they can still take photos and upload them later when they have a stable connection.

How Can We Encourage Participants to Use Youie? We provide templates for email communications, social media posts, and QR codes, to make it easy to invite participants to use Youie. We also offer tips on announcing Youie during event briefings to maximize adoption. What’s the Typical User Adoption Rate? The adoption rate depends on event promotion. With effective communication and distribution of the QR code/link, events typically see a high engagement rate as participants enjoy the instant gratification of shared moments and seeing themselves. You can access guidance on promoting Youie to maximize adoption.

Can Participants Only Upload Photos During the Event? Not at all! Participants can upload their photos anytime during or after the event. This flexibility means that even those who prefer to review their photos before sharing can contribute at their own pace. We have seen photos added days or weeks after the event.

How Does Youie Benefit Event Participants? Youie allows participants to share and view event photos from every angle in real-time. Unlike social media, Youie is all about the moments, not the followers. Participants get a richer experience by seeing perspectives from others in the event and can even monetize their standout photos if others love them.

How Do You Handle Privacy Concerns?  Your privacy is at the core of Youie. We don’t have usernames or profiles, and photos are shared anonymously. No one knows who took which picture—anonymity is built into our app and user experience to ensure privacy.

How Do Users Download Photos? Users can put their favorites in their cart as they browse. When they are ready to download, they can complete the transaction in the cart and have immediate access to downloads.

Can Participants Edit Their Photos Before Uploading? Youie does not have built-in editing tools, but participants can use any editing app before uploading. Youie simply adds their image to the event gallery without any further modifications.

What If We Want to Delete Photos from the Gallery? If any photo needs to be removed, organizers can contact our support team, and we will promptly remove the specific image from the gallery.
